Cerulean, Blue of course!

Once again, the colors of this kit blew (No pun intended) me away. Blue is my favorite color and this one is so intense. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers and so the two had this conversation.

The kit also included a set of antique flowers. So yes, why not a still life. My first attempt at this but very fun to make a digital flower arrangement.

When I saw this kit, I was immediately certain I would use this photo of my daughter, Caite, when she was four. Crossed arms. so self assured but the red dress steals the show. I really like the color red.

But the elements in the kit are so versatile, I also used them to create a digital collage, which could also be converted to a hybrid  collage. You gotta love the possibilities.

 

Susurrous-what?

I have joined Jen Maddocks' Creative Team. Having followed her work for a very long time, this opportunity is special. Susurrous is a kit I especially  like with all of the fall colors. I designed 2 different art works with it. In the first, I feature my grandson who is navigating the roots of a tree. Always barefoot, I captured this image from a video stream. Too bad I could include the video in the layout. It was priceless.

In the second, I am remembering a walk on a special day when the leaves were turning in a spectacular display of color. The elements in this digital kit fit the theme of the day just perfectly. It is really fun to have art elements that help to tell a special story.
